My name is Abi Littles, the owner of Weddings by Abi & Co, a wedding planning and design business! I know what you’re thinking, why is a wedding planner giving advise about a bachelorette weekend? Well, believe it or not I’m also a part-time decorator for Bach Babes! With planning a wedding there are a lot of extra events that need to be planned like your bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, send off breakfast, and my personal favorite…the bachelorette party!! Most of the time friends and family step in and help plan these amazing over the top events, but with that comes some stress of wanting to make sure everything looks good and put together. Tips for Your Bachelorette Weekend!

  1. Start planning your bachelorette party 3-6 months out from your wedding! This gives you enough time to find a date that works for everyone in your bridal party, plan to get time off and maybe even save enough money to help make it the best weekend for the bride!

  2. Pick a fun party theme that reflects the bride! Something I always suggest to my brides is to pick a theme that really reflects what you like! You may love the color pink and cow print but chances are you probably aren’t having a pink cowgirl wedding but you can choose the disco cowgirl theme with Bach Babes and all of your pink cowgirl dreams will come true! Best of both worlds if you will ;). If you are truly stuck on what theme to do maybe hand this task over to your maid of honor and let her surprise you!  

  3. Pick a bachelorette party destination that works for everyone! When deciding where you want to go for your bachelorette party there are a few things to think about. Are all of your girls going to be traveling for your bachelorette party and your wedding? It’s always a good idea to be mindful of how much traveling your girls are going to be traveling for all of your wedding events and the expenses that come with that! The second thing to think about is making sure that you go to a city that caters to bachelorette parties. For example, Nashville & Austin love having bachelorette parties and have SO many fun things for you and your girls to do!

  4. Always keep the bachelorette weekend guests informed! Speaking of travel expenses, you may be thinking how much does a bachelorette party cost? This can vary depending on how many girls are coming, where you are going, and how long your bachelorette party will last! It’s always a good idea to check with your girls and see if they are willing to split the cost of your airbnb or hotel, this keeps from one person having to carry that huge expense. Another idea is to have your girls hire Bach Babes and split the cost! This way they don’t have to worry about buying decor, mimosas, etc and trying to keep track of all of the receipts and split the cost.
